Horse Camp
Grades 7-12 in the Fall of 2023
Live, breath, and dream horses! Each day includes a mounted lesson, pony carting, a vaulting lesson, and an equine science class. Be responsible for the horses’ care: feed, groom, and tack. Enjoy camp activities: swimming, Bible study, campfires, games, cookouts, s’mores, and worship. Top off your week with an evening trail ride and a horse show. Live in a Retreat Center.
Wet and Wild
Grades 8-12 in the Fall of 2023
Enjoy water fun? Like to act wild? Pump up the fun at the Wanake Pool with the climbing wall, diving board, and basketball action. Try canoeing Wanake’s Lake Arnold and studying the Bible. Join the rest of camp in all camp games (wide games). Top off your week with a day at Baylor Beach for swimming, slides, the high dive, and a barrel roll in the sun! Live in a retreat center.


Pool Pizzaz
Grades 4-7 in the Fall of 2023
Hot summer days are just ahead! Beat the heat at the Wanake Pool! Pool games, extended swim times, pool basketball, and more. Scale the pool climbing wall, jump off the diving board, and fly down the water slide. Try canoeing or rock climbing at Wanake’s Lake Arnold. Join the rest of camp in all camp games (wide games). Savor the flavor of the Wanake Ice Cream Breakfast and God’s sweet Word, The Bible. Discover how Jesus uses water in His works. Housing is in Retreat Centers or Cabins with the option of a sleepout under the stars. If your camper requires a specific housing option, please contact Wanake to arrange for their housing.
Animal Friends
Grades 3-6 in the Fall of 2023
Spend time at the Wanake Farm with goats, chickens, rabbits, cats, horses, and other guest animals. Take care of the farm animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising them. Enjoy exploring the animals living in the Frog Pond, The Lake, and The Wanake Woods with Wanake’s incredible bullfrogs and turtles! Meet the horses that live at Wanake. Watch for Wanake’s native wildlife: birds, squirrels, butterflies, fish, and deer. Swim, craft, explore the Bible, cookout, play camp-wide games (wide games), and enjoy s’mores and the ice cream breakfast. Live in the cabins nearest the Wanake Farm with the option of a sleepout under the stars. If your camper requires a specific housing option, please contact Wanake to arrange for their housing.


Moonlight Madness
Grades 7-10 in the Fall of 2023
It’s a week of moonlit fun! Jump moon shadows as you experience the fun of camp by the light of the moon. Enjoy swimming, canoeing, Bible study, and more by day, and campfires, night hikes, worship, and glow games by night. Join the rest of camp in all camp games (wide games). Stay up late (3AM) and sleep until noon each day. Eat breakfast at lunch, lunch at dinner, and dinner when the stars are in the sky. Stargaze and see the moon up close through a telescope. Live in a retreat center.
Night Games
Grades 6-9 in the Fall of 2023
Defy the clock! Stay up late (3 AM) and sleep until noon! Canoe and swim before it gets dark. After dark, stargaze, night hike, craft, explore the Bible, and see the universe through a telescope. Try glow-in-the-dark games and activities. Eat breakfast at lunch, lunch at dinner, and dinner when the stars are in the sky. Join the rest of camp in all camp games (wide games). Play your favorite camp games and learn new ones, all with night-time twists! Live in cabins.


Ultimate Adventure
Grades 8-12 in the Fall of 2023
Experience the Ultimate Wanake Adventure. Swim, swamp a canoe, rock climb, relax in a hammock, and sleep in the treetops! Take a river canoe trip and hike to a waterfall. Join the rest of camp in all camp games (wide games). Check out the ultimate adventure: life with Jesus! Live in the Rock Lodge.
Outdoor Survival Camp
Grades 5-7 in the Fall of 2023
Outdoor survival at its finest: learn survival skills, build your own shelter, start a fire, cook meals (your group’s choice) over a campfire, relax in a hammock, and more! Take a break from shelter building to solve the airplane crash survival mystery and enjoy the climbing wall, canoeing, and swimming. Join the rest of camp in all camp games (wide games). Get away from it all to explore the Bible and form new friendships. Live in the Survival Cabin and a shelter you will build.


Rock Lodge Quest
Grades 8-12 in the Fall of 2023
Live in the Rock Lodge and “build-your-own-adventure” to create a week to remember! Your group gets to choose from a variety of options, including, but not limited to: a waterfall hike, crafts, rock climbing, campfires, tie dye, swims, hanging out, canoeing, cookouts, 9-Square, GaGa Ball, shelter building, star gazing/telescope watching, fishing and more. Plus indulge in an ice cream breakfast, explore the Bible, play camp-wide games, cookout, relax in a hammock, worship, and enjoy campfires. Create a camp adventure and enjoy the Rock Lodge with friends, old and new! Live in the Rock Lodge.
Video Games
Grades 3-6 in the Fall of 2023
Enjoy the perfect blend of video games on the big screen inside and the Wanake Adventure outside. Play Wii and Xbox 360 games. Authentic outdoor adventures include: swimming, games, campfires, rock climbing, Bible study, gaga ball, and cookout! Join the rest of camp in all camp games (wide games). Housing is in Retreat Centers or Cabins with the option of a sleepout under the stars. If your camper requires a specific housing option, please contact Wanake to arrange for their housing.

L.I.S.T. Week
Grades 10-12 in the Fall of 2023
Are you interested in being a leader? Learn skills: leadership basics, group building, child development, and outdoor living. Apply these skills at camp. Spend time with younger campers at Wanake, putting your new knowledge into action. Use your new skills for leadership at church, school, and in your community, plus use this community service for your resume, school, colleges, and applications. LIST campers may return later in the summer or throughout the year as LIST leaders. Housing is in Retreat Centers or Cabins with the option of a sleepout under the stars or in the Survival Cabin, Adirondack Shelters or The Rock Lodge. If your camper requires a specific housing option, please contact Wanake to arrange for their housing.
