Sample Daily Schedule

FRIDAY:

  • 6:30 pm: Arrive at Site – Registration in the Wanake Office – Nametags – Health Forms – Room Assignments
  • 7:00 pm: Unpack and settle in at Savage Retreat Center – Come to the Inpost Barn for games and crafts after you have moved in - WITH your Bible, Pen/Pencil, & Nametag
  • 7:30 pm: Introductions and orientation in the Chapel in Inpost Barn
  • 7:50 pm: Get Acquainted Games and Fun Songs in the Chapel in Inpost Barn – Orientation for chaperones in the Dining Hall – downstairs at the Inpost Barn
  • 8:20 pm: Session One – History Part One
  • 9:30 pm: Snack in the Dining Hall
  • 9:45 pm: Get ready for bed
  • 10:15 pm: Lights Out!

SATURDAY:

  • 7:00 am: Arise and Shine
  • 7:50 am: Inpost Barn – Bring your smash book, Bible and pen
  • 8:00 am: Breakfast in the Dining Hall
  • 8:30 am: Devotions – Intro to Spiritual Disciplines and Service - in the Chapel
  • 9:00 am: Break Time – Games on the Lawn. The bell will ring when it is time to start session two.
  • 9:20 am: Session Two – History Part Two
  • 10:20 am: Break time – Active Games outside on the lawn
  • 10:35 am: Session Three – What UM Believe
  • Noon: Lunch in the Dining Hall                                            
  • 1:00 pm: Session Four – Sacraments                                         
  • 2:30 pm: Break
  • 2:45 pm: Game Time – Meet on the Lawn – Fun with Amy!
  • 4:00 pm: Session Five – The Connection
  • 5:00 pm: Break
  • 5:30 pm: Dinner in the Dining Hall                                           
  • 6:30 pm: Fun Stations – Crafts, S’mores at the fireplace, Discussion Time
  • 7:40 pm: Devotions – Spiritual Disciplines – Prayer – in the Chapel
  • 8:10 pm: Go back to living location; Get Ready for bed and pre-pack for tomorrow’s departure
  • 10:00 pm: Lights Out! Quiet in the Halls and Rooms.                   

SUNDAY:

  • 7:00 am: Arise and Shine
  • 7:45 am: Gather in the Inpost Barn - Bring your smash book, Bible and pen       
  • 8:00 am: Breakfast in the Dining Hall                                        
  • 8:45 am: Devotions – Spiritual Disciplines – Study
  • 9:15 am: Pack and Clean Living Areas
  • 9:45 am: Session Six - Worship Introduction
  • 10:45 am: Closing Worship (Stations) with Communion in the Chapel
  • 11:30 am: Evaluations
  • 11:45 am: Closing Circle
  • Noon: Lunch in the Dining Hall
  • 12:45 pm: Head Home!
